Hypnosis is NOT what you see on stage, and it is also NOT what you see on television or in the movies. It is NOT voodoo, black magic and it is NOT dangerous.  

Hypnosis IS a natural state that you go in and out of several times a day. In fact, children are naturally in hypnosis all the time until around the age of 8. 

Hypnosis is created through an overload of stimulus which causes a person to draw inward. The result is deep relaxation and a more suggestible state, where your mind is open to new ideas; more healthy, positive ideas. 

From that state, a trained hypnotherapist can help you change the way you think, feel, act and react. This is an amazing way to support yourself and enrich your life.

Hypnosis is a natural state of focused relaxation where your imagination comes alive and you become hyper-suggestible to the stimulus and messages around you. This is a natural state you go in and out of several times a day. It is created in several ways; focus, relaxation, stimulus overload, and stress. Television, music, and reading are all forms of natural hypnosis. Hypnotherapy is the practice of using hypnosis to support positive emotional, mental, physical and spiritual changes.
In your hypnotherapy session we will first discuss, in detail, what you wish to change or experience while you are fully awake and aware. After Dawnmarie understands your goals she will guide you into a relaxed meditation designed to help support your goals. You will most likely remain silent for the rest of your session.  Sometimes you might want to share with her what you are experiencing but that is your choice.  No sharing of secrets is required or requested.  Also, you will remain in full control of what you say.

During your hypnotherapy session you will be in a relaxed state of deep meditation. You will most likely remain fully aware of what is happening around you. You will not lose control of your body, or your mind.  You will most likely remember most, or all of your session.


Yes, you will wake up. After your session you will feel refreshed and clear minded.  However, your mind will take about 20 minutes to fully exit the hypnotic state and you will still be suggestible to the stimulus around you. It is suggested that you don't watch TV, or listen to music for 30 minutes after your session.
